For agencies
One concept, forty formats. Once, not forty times.
Resize, recolor, retranslate, recaption. The repetitive half of production work is the half a tool should do, and it should tell you exactly what its limits are before you commit a client deadline to it.
Layers preserved. One-step undo on a whole batch. Numeric limits, not “unlimited*”.

J’en profiteApproximate automation is worse than none
A tool that gets it almost right hands the work back to you as verification, item by item, which is slower than doing it yourself. So the bar is not “does it look impressive on a template” — it is whether it holds up on a messy 200-page deck with inconsistent naming, mixed type styles and a client logo in four versions. That is what we build against, and it is why this page is mostly numbers.
The actual limits, on the Pro plan
No asterisk, no “fair use”. If a job does not fit, we would rather you know now.

The four things that decide whether a production tool is usable
Everything else is a preference. These four are pass or fail.
Layers and type settings survive
Output is native Canva elements, grouped the way you would have grouped them. Text stays editable text with its own styling; nothing is flattened into an image you cannot fix at 7pm.
Undo covers the whole batch
A batch applied across sixty designs is one entry in Canva's history. One undo and you are back where you started — no cleanup pass, no half-applied state.
Limits are numbers, written down
Designs per batch, pages per design, rows per chart, languages per run. You should be able to decide whether a job fits before you start it, not discover a ceiling at design thirty-eight.
Accents and non-Latin scripts are not an afterthought
Diacritics survive restyling, and caption styling does not reset when the language changes. If a script is not supported yet, the app says so instead of producing something plausible and wrong.

J’en profiteA campaign, from concept to handover
The sequence a production week actually follows.
Day 1
Build the master, set the presets
One design, one chart preset, one caption style, one glossary of terms that never get translated. Saved once, on your account, reusable on the next client.
Day 2
Run the batch, watch the queue
Formats, languages and renders go through a visible queue with per-item progress. A failure names the item that failed; it does not fail the run in silence.
Day 3
Check the exceptions, not everything
You review what the app flagged — a missing font, a string too long for its box, an unsupported script — instead of re-reading forty designs looking for what moved.
The apps that remove the most repetition
Ranked by how much manual work they delete on a typical variation-heavy campaign.
- Translate ProA whole design into eight languages per run, layout preserved, with a glossary locking product and brand terms. Per-language overrides exist for the one market where the term really does change.Learn more
- Mockup ProBatch renders through a visible queue, print-resolution output, and a retry on the single scene that failed instead of the whole set.Learn more
- Chart StudioSaved chart presets reused across clients, 10,000 rows, and a redraw in place when the data is pasted again. Styling comes from whichever brand kit the design is using.Learn more
The questions a production designer asks first
Why Pro, in production
The free plan exists so you can test the mechanism on your own files. Pro is where the economics change: batch instead of one at a time, presets instead of resetting, and the headroom that makes a forty-format week finish on Tuesday.
