Terms of service
These terms are the contract between you and ACCENSEO, the company behind addly, when you use this site, install one of our Canva apps, or subscribe to a Pro plan. They are written to be read, so please do.

1. Who we are
addly is a brand of ACCENSEO, a French simplified joint-stock company (société par actions simplifiée) with share capital of EUR 2,000, registered with the Paris trade and companies register under SIREN 929 897 072, whose head office is at 60 rue François Ier, 75008 Paris, France.
In this document, "addly", "we", "us" and "our" mean ACCENSEO. "You" means the person or the organization using our site, our apps or a Pro subscription. The complete registration details are in our legal notice.
2. What these terms cover
These terms cover three things: this website at canva.addly.app, the addly apps distributed on the Canva Apps Marketplace, and the paid Pro subscription we sell from this site.
They do not cover Canva. The Canva editor, your Canva account and your Canva subscription are provided by Canva Pty Ltd under its own terms. If an app is installed from inside Canva, Canva's terms apply to the installation and ours apply to what the app does for you and to what you pay us.
3. Accepting these terms
You accept these terms when you create an addly account, start a trial, pay for a Pro subscription, or simply use one of our apps. If you do not accept them, uninstall the app and stop using the site.
If you accept them for a company, a school or any other organization, you confirm that you are allowed to bind it, and both you and that organization are bound.
You must be at least 16 years old, or the age of digital consent in your country if it is higher, to hold an addly account.
4. Your addly account
A Pro subscription is tied to an account. You are responsible for keeping access to it secure, for everything done through it, and for giving us an email address you actually read — that is where we send receipts, renewal notices and security messages.
Tell us immediately if you think someone else is using your account. We may ask you to confirm your identity before we act on a request about billing or data.
5. What you may do with the apps
For as long as your plan is active, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the addly apps inside Canva, for your own designs or those of the organization that pays for your seat.
Anything you produce with an app — a chart, a caption, an export, a mockup — is yours. We claim no rights over your designs, and no royalty on their commercial use.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- resell, sublicense, rent out or share your Pro access with people outside the organization that paid for it;
- copy, decompile or reverse engineer an app, except where the law expressly allows it;
- work around usage limits, quotas or the paywall, including with scripts or automated clients;
- use the apps to produce illegal content, to harass anyone, to infringe someone's intellectual property, or to publish content you have no right to use;
- overload, probe or attack our infrastructure, or test its security without our written permission;
- present yourself as addly, as Canva, or as an authorized reseller of either.
Serious or repeated breaches let us suspend access without notice, as described in section 15.
7. Free plan, trial and Pro
Our apps are freemium. The free plan is genuinely free, with no card and no time limit, and it keeps working as long as the app exists. Each app page lists exactly what the free plan includes.
Pro unlocks the rest. A Pro subscription starts with a 3-day free trial. You give a payment method when the trial starts, nothing is charged during the trial, and you can cancel at any point in those three days at no cost.
If you do not cancel, the trial becomes a paid annual subscription at the price shown when you signed up — EUR 19.99 per year for a single-app plan at the time of writing — and is charged in one payment covering twelve months.
8. Price, billing and renewal
Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. Prices on this site are shown in euros or in US dollars; for consumers in the European Union, the price shown includes VAT at the rate of your country of residence.
A Pro subscription renews automatically for another twelve months on its anniversary, at the then-current price, unless you cancel before that date. We email you a renewal reminder at least 14 days ahead, with the amount, the date and a one-click cancellation link.
If a price changes, the new price only applies to renewals that happen at least 30 days after we tell you. You can always cancel instead of accepting the new price.
If a payment fails, we retry it a few times over two weeks and tell you each time. Pro features are paused, not deleted, while a payment is outstanding; nothing you made with them is removed.
9. Cancellation and refunds
You can cancel a subscription at any time from your account or by writing to us. Cancelling stops the next renewal; your Pro features stay available until the end of the period you already paid for, and then the app returns to its free plan.
Consumers in the European Union have a 14-day right of withdrawal, and we apply a clear refund policy on top of it. Both are described in full in our refund and cancellation policy, which is part of these terms.
10. Your content and your data
Our apps process what you give them: the data you paste, the text you type, the images you point them at, the design elements an app reads to do its job. We process that content to deliver the feature you asked for, and for nothing else.
We do not train models on your designs, we do not sell your content, and we do not use it to build datasets. How long anything is kept, and on what legal basis, is set out in our privacy policy.
You keep all rights to your content. You grant us only the narrow, temporary license we need to run the feature you triggered — essentially, the right to read it, transform it and hand the result back to you.
11. Our intellectual property
The apps, this site, their code, their interface, their documentation, the addly name and the addly logo belong to ACCENSEO and are protected by French and international law. These terms grant you a right to use them, not a transfer of ownership.
You may describe and link to addly freely, including in a review or a tutorial. You may not use our name or logo in a way that suggests we endorse you, or that your product is ours.
12. Our relationship with Canva
We publish apps on the Canva Apps Marketplace as a third-party developer. We are independent from Canva: not a subsidiary, not an agent, not a reseller. Canva is a trademark of Canva Pty Ltd.
Canva can change its platform, its APIs or its marketplace rules at any time, and such a change can degrade or even end an app feature with no fault of ours. If that permanently removes a Pro feature you paid for, we will tell you what changed and refund the unused part of your year on request.
Anything about your Canva account, your Canva subscription or Canva's own billing is between you and Canva. We cannot see those records and cannot act on them.
13. Availability, support and changes
We aim for 99.9% monthly availability on the parts of the service we run ourselves, excluding scheduled maintenance announced in advance on our status page. That target is a commitment to work towards, not a service-level agreement with automatic credits.
Support is included in every plan. Pro users get a reply in one business day on average; the free plan is answered as quickly as we can. The in-site support chat is the fastest route, and support@addly.app is always available.
We improve the apps continuously, which means features change. We do not remove a documented Pro feature without at least 30 days' notice, unless a Canva platform change or a security issue forces our hand.
14. Warranties
We provide the apps with the care expected of a professional publisher, and we warrant that they do what the app page says they do. We cannot warrant that they are free of every defect, that they work with every browser, or that they will always be available.
Nothing here limits the legal guarantees of conformity owed to consumers under French law (articles L. 224-25-12 and following of the Consumer Code), which apply in full and free of charge.
15. Liability
We are liable for damage we cause by failing to meet these terms. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim is capped at the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event, or EUR 100 if you paid nothing.
We are not liable for indirect loss — lost profit, lost opportunity, loss of data you held no copy of, reputational harm — nor for the consequences of a Canva platform change, a third-party outage, or your own use of an app in breach of these terms.
These limits do not apply to death or personal injury, to fraud or gross negligence, or to anything a court holds cannot be limited.
16. Suspension and termination
You can stop at any time: cancel the subscription and uninstall the app.
We can suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, that puts the service or other users at risk, or that has an unpaid balance. Except where a breach is serious or illegal, we warn you first and give you a chance to fix it.
If we close your account without cause, we refund the unused part of your subscription. If we close it for a serious breach, no refund is due.
17. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by French law. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory rules of your country of residence, and you may sue or be sued only in the courts of that country.
Please come to us first: most disputes are settled in a few messages at support@addly.app. If we cannot agree, a consumer in France may refer the matter free of charge to a mediator of consumer disputes, or use the European Union's online dispute resolution platform. We will name the competent mediator in our reply to a formal complaint.
For business users, the courts of Paris, France, have exclusive jurisdiction.
18. Changes to these terms
We update these terms when the service changes or the law does. The date at the top always reflects the version in force.
For a change that affects your rights or what you pay, we email account holders at least 30 days before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that date means you accept the new version; if you would rather not, cancel before it applies and we refund the unused part of your year.
