Cookie policy

This site runs on a deliberately small number of cookies: the ones that keep you signed in and pay for your subscription, plus two that remember how you like the site to look. There is no advertising cookie and no cross-site tracker.

1. What a cookie is

A cookie is a small file a site stores in your browser and reads back later. It can be strictly necessary — a sign-in session, a payment flow — or optional, when it serves measurement or advertising.

The same rules apply to similar technologies: local storage, session storage and pixels. Where we use those, we list them below as well.

2. Our approach

We ask for consent only when the law requires it, and we ask for as little as possible. Because our measurement is cookieless and aggregated, and because our remaining cookies are either necessary or a preference you set yourself, this site shows no consent banner for the pages described here.

If we ever add a cookie that needs consent, a banner will appear first, nothing will be set before you choose, and refusing will be as easy as accepting.

3. Strictly necessary cookies

These cannot be switched off: without them you cannot sign in, stay signed in, or pay.

4. Preference cookies

These store a choice you made in the interface. Deleting them loses the preference and nothing else.

5. Measurement, without cookies

We want to know which pages help and which do not, so we count page views with Plausible, hosted in Germany. It sets no cookie, stores no identifier, and cannot follow you to another site. We see counts and countries, never individuals.

Inside our apps we record feature counters tied to your account, because a free plan with limits needs them. That is product data, not cookie-based tracking, and it is covered by our privacy policy.

6. Third parties

Stripe sets the cookies listed in section 3 on the pages where you pay, under its own policy. Fonts and scripts are served from our own domain, so no font or CDN provider sees your visit.

When an addly app runs inside the Canva editor, Canva's own cookies apply to that page. addly is independent from Canva, and Canva is a trademark of Canva Pty Ltd; we have no control over, and no access to, what Canva sets.

7. Managing cookies

Every browser lets you see, block and delete cookies, usually under Privacy or Site settings. You can block ours entirely — the site will still work, but you will not stay signed in, checkout may fail, and your language and width preferences will reset on every visit.

Most browsers also offer a "do not track" or global privacy signal. We honor it where it applies, which is simple for us, since we place nothing that tracks you across sites.

8. Changes to this policy

The tables above are updated whenever a cookie is added or removed, and the date at the top of the page moves with them. Material changes are announced by email to account holders.
